WAGES Early Head Start is a
comprehensive child development program providing quality services to
children ages birth to three years old and their families. WAGES
Early Head Start also provides prenatal support services to expectant
mothers. Early Head Start parents are involved in all aspects of the
program. WAGES Early Head Start offers:
- Learning experiences for infants and toddlers
that honor their unique characteristics and individuality.
- Ongoing comprehensive health care and nutrition
education.
- Safe, developmentally enriching environments that
support infant and toddler development.
- Opportunities for parents to gain
self-sufficiency, educational advancement and job training.
BABES-
Bottles and Booties, Etc.:
The Bottles and Booties, Etc. Store (BABES).
Early Head Start parents earn visits to the BABES "store" by
keeping home visit and well-baby appointments and by attending parent
committee meetings. At the BABES "store" parents can get
diapers, clothing, personal care items, etc.
WAGES is
known for providing quality services to families:
WAGES also has three centers that have accreditation
from the National Association
for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The NAEYC
recognized these centers as being child development centers of extreme
quality.
In addition, WAGES Head Start and Early Head Start
received national recognition from the National
Head Start Association. The program received recognition as a
Program of Achievement.
