WAGES

Head Start
WAGES Head Start is a federally funded child development program that strives to:
  • Enhance children's growth and development
  • Strengthen families as their child's primary teacher and nurturer
  • Provide children with education, health and nutrition support services
  • Link children and families to an array of community services

Preparing children for a healthy beginning and ready to succeed and learn when they enter school is the goal of WAGES Head Start.  Parents are involved in all aspects of programming and decision making.

WAGES is known for providing quality services to families:

WAGES also has three centers that have accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  The NAEYC recognized these centers as being child development centers of extreme quality.

In addition, WAGES Head Start and Early Head Start received national recognition from the National Head Start Association.  The program received recognition as a Program of Achievement.
