The Medication Management
Program helps seniors take medicine more easily, safely and as
inexpensively as possible. Medication Management is designed to work with
clients, their doctors, pharmacists, families and caregivers to proved
problems, reduce costs and improve health by providing information,
education and professional care and assistance.
- In February 2003, Eastern Carolina Council, with
WAGES as the partner for Wayne County, received a grant through the
Health and Wellness Trust Fund to provide a prescription assistance
center in Wayne County.
- Pharmacist and Prescription Coordinator were
trained and computer software installed in the spring of 2003.
- The office opened and began seeing North Carolina
Senior Care referrals in June 2003.
