Senior Companions Needed: Great Opportunity for Retired Seniors!
The WAGES Senior Companion Program needs senior volunteers to serve as companions to frail adults in their homes. Senior Companions volunteer at least 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free hourly stipend. Seniors who are at least 55 years of age and have a special love for elderly adults are encouraged to apply at the WAGES office, 601 Royall Avenue or contact Tiffany Lucky, Senior Companion Program Director at (919) 734-1178 ext. 286.
Senior Companion Program Clients Needed
Senior Companions help older adults live independently in their own homes and provide respite services to enable caregivers to have some much needed time off. Senior Companions assist with daily tasks such as light meal preparation, light housekeeping, monitoring medications, as well as accompanying clients to the grocery store and doctor’s appointments. Please contact Lillian Suggs, Senior Companion Program Outreach Specialist at (919) 734-1178 ext. 264 if you are in need of the service (no service fee). Thank you!
Senior Companion Program Donations Needed
The WAGES Senior Companion Program is grant-funded and the budget must reflect the required 10% match (cash and in-kind donations). Please call Tiffany Lucky at (919) 734-1178 ext. 286 if you would like to make a donation. Thank you!
